‘Unsinkable' Molly Brown Was Larger Than Life. A New Ballet Tries To Capture Her Spirit



Built in 1887, Molly Brown House is a home of character with a great history and earned popularity. The Browns enjoyed modest success, raising two children, Lawrence and Helen, in a home in central Leadville. Occasionally, some organizations and exhibitors also showcase the influence of Molly Brown as Denver's fashion icon, American socialite, philanthropist and activist.

You probably associate Brown with the Titanic, but that was only a small part of this amazing woman's life. The tour guide said the staff of the museum were torn because they wanted people to know her as Mrs. Visitors can visit the Molly Brown Birthplace and Museum in Hannibal, Missouri.

My project was originally intended to explore the Gilded Age homes of Mining Age Colorado but, as I visited Denver in the summer of 2013, I was intrigued by the various levels of preservation in different houses and noticed a connection that the best preserved ones were those related to Margaret Brown.

One of the best historical tours I've been on. The guide wove architecture and historical artifacts together to tell the story of Molly Brown and the early 20th century. At the time of the Great Depression, the place became a boarding house that ran until Margaret's death.

In the Molly Brown House Museum, people will see many of Molly Brown's collections that came from different parts of the world because of her passion for traveling. Some exhibits about history what she wears during her existence were held in Molly Brown House Museum, which also highlight her life - from a period of time traversing the end of the WWI through the Great Depression years.

The museum is a historic, multi-level, Victorian home and is only accessible to wheelchairs on the first floor.
